For existing websites and setups

Support

Not everything needs moving to a new host. If you already have a website but something feels unclear, unreliable, or quietly broken, I can help you work out what matters, fix what needs fixing, and keep the important parts in good order.

Checks

A careful look at what is currently in place, with a clear explanation of what is working, what needs attention, and what is probably fine to leave alone.

What I can check

  • Whether your website is loading properly and securely
  • SSL/HTTPS setup and obvious trust issues
  • Domain registration, DNS, and Cloudflare basics
  • Email setup and basic deliverability signals
  • Contact forms and enquiry routes
  • Whether your current setup looks stable, neglected, or unclear

When this works best

Useful if you already have a website but are not fully sure how it is set up, whether everything is working as it should, or whether anything actually needs changing.

The aim is clarity, not a long technical report.

Fixes and setup help

For situations where something needs putting right, or where an important part of your setup needs to be configured properly.

Typical examples

  • Website not loading properly or showing errors
  • Domain or DNS issues
  • Contact forms not delivering messages
  • Email setup problems or unreliable delivery
  • Moving email to a better setup on your own domain
  • Tidying up confusing or incomplete configurations

How I approach this

The focus is on calm, contained fixes with as little disruption as possible. Where a simple fix is sensible, I will not turn it into a rebuild.

Some work can be handled quickly, while more involved issues may need a small one-off piece of scoped work.

Email support can include

  • Mailbox creation and device setup
  • SPF/DKIM/DMARC basics
  • Migration help where needed
  • Help configuring a suitable third party service

Ongoing support

Light ongoing help for people who want someone technical in the background, even if their website is hosted elsewhere.

What ongoing support can cover

  • Periodic checks of key parts of your setup
  • Domain, DNS, and renewal awareness
  • Email and enquiry path sanity checks
  • A sensible point of contact if something goes wrong
  • Advice on what is worth changing and what is not

When this works best

Ideal if your current website is broadly fine, but you would rather not be left to work out domains, email, renewals, or technical issues on your own when something needs attention.

This is intentionally light touch. It is there to reduce friction and uncertainty, not to create unnecessary process.

What this is not

  • Not general IT support for devices or office software
  • Not marketing or SEO management
  • Not a redesign service
  • Not unlimited ad hoc development

Practical notes

Support work is usually handled either as a one-off piece of work or as a light ongoing arrangement, depending on what you need. I’ll outline this clearly in advance so you know what’s involved before anything goes ahead.

Some issues can be dealt with quickly once I have access to the right accounts and settings. Others need a little investigation first, especially where domains, DNS, email, and existing providers are all tied together.

If you are unsure whether something falls within scope, that's fine – send me a short outline and I will tell you plainly whether it is something I can help with.

If you later decide you would rather have everything handled in one place, Quietly Hosted also offers managed hosting and ongoing WordPress care – but there is no expectation to move anything.
